Baru2 ni Harry Potter films has been honoured in British Film Academy Awards 2011. The British Film Academy has honoured the Harry Potter franchise for OUTSTANDING BRITISH CONTRIBUTION TO CINEMA Award to J.K Rowling, David Heyman (the producer) and all the directors as well as the actors. Here are some descriptions about the award.

Awarded annually, the award for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema was introduced in 1978 and is presented in honour of Michael Balcon. The first recipients were the Special Visual Effects team for Superman and others include Kevin Brownlow, Mike Leigh, Kenneth Branagh, Derek Jarman, Working Title, Lewis Gilbert, Channel Four Films and Pinewood & Shepperton Studios.

Starting in 2001 with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the film franchise from Warner Bros. Pictures has defined a decade of British filmmaking. As well as continually introducing exciting new performers to a global audience, the films have built a reputation for showcasing the wealth of British stage and screen acting talent.

The Harry Potter films have not only created stars in front of the camera, but have also highlighted the expertise within the British craft and technical industries, supporting a vast array of jobs throughout production. Their contribution to the British filmmaking industry was underlined last year when Warner Bros. Pictures, which has shepherded the film series from its inception, purchased Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire. Leavesden Studios has been the Harry Potter base for the past ten years.

BAFTA/Richard KendalThe films are nothing short of a box office phenomenon, with the first six films in the series grossing over $5.4billion worldwide, making it the top-grossing film franchise of all time. The numbers for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, as well as the anticipation for Part 2, opening on July 15, 2011, should ensure its place in film history for years to come.

Their achievements in filmmaking have been repeatedly recognised by industry peers, with the Harry Potter series garnering an array of nominations and awards at events across the globe.

As well as notching up seven Oscar nominations, the series has so far garnered a total of 28 BAFTA nominations: five nominations at the British Academy Children’s Awards and 23 at the Film Awards, including this year’s two nominations in the Special Visual Effects and Make Up & Hair categories.

In addition, the films have been nominated four times in the Children’s Awards public vote, winning twice (2003 & 2006 for The Chamber of Secrets and Goblet of Fire respectively); and also won the Orange Film of the Year public vote at the Film Awards in 2004 for The Prisoner of Azkaban.

Emma Watson who plays Hermione Granger said, “This is a huge honour! I am so proud to have been part of the incredible team both in front and behind the camera that made these films. Over the past decade, we've had the privilege of working with some of the finest people working today; in an atmosphere filled with pride, but with no ego; working on glorious fiction created by Jo Rowling.

We became a family of sorts.  We had an awful lot of fun.  Personally, I would like to say a few thank yous.  I would like to thank our directors, Chris Columbus who isn't here, Alfonso Cuaron, who is hiding over there.  Mike Newell, David Yates, the producer David Barron, our screenwriters: Steve Kloves and Michael Goldenberg.

Amazing cast: Dan, Rupert, Emma and a host of others; and our incomparable crew.

Ari senin ritu 22 hb me n ma friends who consist of Elnur, Afnan, Ainu, Safwa and Anis telah kuar bersama2 untuk menonton filem kegemaran aku which is Deathly Hallows. Myb some of u know da tau pasal Elnur and Ainu had already mention dis on their blog respectively. Act time kuar ni Me n Safwa telah menontonnya wat kali ke - 2 while yg laen2 tu smua br nk tgk. Patutnya Yan pon join da korum tapi last2 minute mak dier tak kasi kuar lak. Aishhh spoil da mood btol r Yan ni. On dat day aku bgn lewat pasal aku duk layan Hindustan Anjaana Anjaani smpi kol 4 pg lbey sorg2 so teroverslept lak. (Oh as usual love story Hindustan is da BEST ! Patu tmbh dgn lakonan Ranbir Kapoor mmg feveret aku. Hehe) Tgk2 El dah kat dpn umah aku bwk keta. Patutnya plan nk nek moto aku but last2 bapak dier kasi bwk keta so nek dgn dier je r. Aku pon dgn kelam kabut pon cpt2la siap mandi bagai. Pas dah siap2 kitorg pon bertolak g Times Square. Time odwy jem plk kat Pudu. Upa2nya Ainu dah smpi dlu while Safwa n Anis stil odwy n Nun pon sama cm kitorg. Oh Nun dah bawak keta skang. Hehe

Mula2 plan nk tgk Hallows kol 12.20PM but turns out time aku dah smpi pon dah agak lewat n yg len2 pon tak dtg ag except Ainu la. So kitorg decide nk tgk kol 2.30PM punya showtime. Sblm tu brunch kat Mcd pasal msg2 lapa excpt Nun n Anis. After brunch kitorg g beli tiket dlu. So masing2 kuarkan student card n cm klaka lak pasal smua from diff uni n hasilnya macam2 jenis2 kad yg kuar.

5 matric card yg berbeza2 except El n Nun. Mula2 Safwa cm nk taknk kasi matric card dier pasal ader expired date kat blkang kad dier so takut kantoi lak. Skali pas aku dah susun2 kad kitorg org counter tu tak cek pon. Hence smua org dptla student price RM7 je for Hallows punya tiket. Hehe

6 Hallows tickets. Yan klu ko ader ckp 7 so bolela symbolize 7 Hocruxes. Haha ap la aku ni smua bnda nk kaitkan dgn Harry Poter.

After beli tiket Ainu ajak men bowling. Aku mula macam malas2 je tapi since time tu murah pasal kitorg ader student card so aku pon ok je. Besides dah lama gilerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr kot tak men bowl. Aku pon tak ingt bile last kali aku men. Kitorg men 2 game n masing cm hepy pasal dpt gak la wat strike or spare except Nun. Haha. Takpe Nun pani bole try ag.

Dorg pon dah penat berjalan smpi ke Pavi. Ainu mintak tlg El sggh umah Ckg Samat jap pasal nk amik duet gaji tuition dier dlu. B4 balik aku n El lari jap masuk Parkson pasal El nk cr baju kemeja for convo dier Sabtu ni. Dier bajet kemeja rm50 je. Mula2 cr cm frust gak pasal even tho after less smua baju 70 n above hrga dier. Last2 pas pusing jmpa gak baju kemeja yg 44 sth n less dan 50. Yg klakanya time El try dier tak abes ckp2 ni baju kemeja Syuk ni. Kat page ni Ainu soh bg review for those yg read Half - Blood Prince dier. Atas skali tulisan Ainu (of kos tulisan dier la pasal tulisan dier la yg paling cantek skali among kitorg. Hehe). next Yan den Aku n bawah skali Amad (Seyesly Mad ko baca ke buku ni? I seyesly doubt dat ! Haha)

1st: Of course bnda yg paling wajib skali u guys have to READ n OWN all 7 Potter books. Stakat claim 'Aku dah baca dah semua buku HP' tapi takder koleksi those books bg aku u r not true Potter fan. Soryla ye to those Potter maniacs out there. Act org yg bertanggungjawab memperkenalkan Harry Potter kat aku ni adalah sahabat lama Hanis Hanisab (skang blaja kat London u ollz. Class gittew). Mula2 dier baca Goblet of Fire wich dier pinjam kat Abool (senior atas kiter). Time dier baca tu aku cm interested lak nk sebok2 n ckp kat Hanis nk baca. At first, aku tak yakin lgsg yg aku ley baca buku omputeh pasal buku Harry Potter la is the first English book yg aku baca smpi abes. Mula2 2 xpaham tapi lama2 baca cm bole paham je. After dat aku trus excited nk baca n collect smua buku dier. Smua buku ni aku stat beli time aku hi skool dlu starting from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Time ni aku ingt ag aku beli time aku g Pesta Buku kat PWTC dgn Oden. Kitorg share duet mula2 but lama2 buku tu trus jadi hak milik aku pasal aku ckp kat Oden aku nk OWN buku tu. Samala gak kes dgn Goblet of Fire. Haha kerek gile aku. Klu korg tgk buku2 Harry Potter aku ader conteng maksud kat stiap buku. Kat Philospher's Stone punya buku mmg byk giler aku conteng makna for each word kat atas dier. Tp contengan aku makin berkurangan for next books pasal aku dah makin familiar dgn words dlm buku2 ni n aku dah stat ingt those vocabs. Seyes Harry Potter sgt membantu aku punya English vocabs n at that time aku akn berlagak dgn schoolmates aku ckp kat dorg guna words yg pelik2 wich dorg tak penah dgr. Haha. Oh kat stiap buku nipon aku akn tulis dedication cm berangan kat page yg J.K Rowling ader tulis dedication to those yg bermakna bg dier for each book. Cthnya bole tgk di bawah ni.

Ni aku conteng kat Deathly Hallows. Haha pasan giler konon2 cm J.K Rowling r. Fyi, Philosopher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban n Goblet of Fire aku dah baca 4 kali. Order of Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince 2 kali while Deathly Hallows just skali je. Haha sgt best kot baca Harry Potter. Sgt berhantu baca buku2 ni. Mmg aku khusyuk giler tiap kali baca. Ayat dier pon smua snang nk paham n JK Rowling pandai maen ayat smpi wat aku rasa geram,happy,sedih,suspen n macam2 emosi la tiap kali aku baca buku2 dier ni.

Paper bag yg aku dpt time aku beli Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows. Hehe

2nd: Selaen dr Harry Potter books, korg juga perlu READ n OWN other J.K Rowling books. Yg paling kiri tu Fantastic Beast n Where to Find Them n sblh dier Quidditch Through Ages. Dua2 ni merupakan fictional textbooks for Hogwarts students. Buku2 ni pon best pasal dier ader conteng2 by Harry, Ron n Hermione seolah2 ni mmg buku dorg n dorg penah baca n conteng kat buku ni. Yg paling kanan tu The Tales of the Beedle Bard. For those who familiar with Harry Potter stories nila buku yg Hermione dpt dm Dumbledore's Will tu. Buku ni adalah buku yg contains fairy tales stories dlm wizardry world of Harry Potter. N Deathly Hallows merupakan salah satu mitos yg terdapat dlm buku ni. Oh Beedle Bard ni aku dpt from Husna Najihah. Dier kasi for my bday gift. Hehe

3rd: Buku2 terbitan non-JK Rowling juga merupakan satu kewajipan utk dibaca klu korg nk jadi true fan. Tp bg aku skang dah tak perlu kot nk baca buku2 ni klu nk taw sgt pasal Harry Potter. Aku ader buku2 nipon pasal aku duk hadap sgt n obses dgn HP time skola dlu. But sgt enjoyful r baca buku2 ni esp Magical Worlds tu. Klu dlu aku tak ingt mana2 binatang2 yg ader dlm buku Harry Potter cpt2 aku semak buku ni. Hahaha smgt giler. Patu buku yg paling kiri skali tu smua soklan2 yg berkaitan dgn Harry Potter. Of kosla aku dpt jwb dgn cmrlgnya tp tu dlu r. Klu tnya skang byk kot aku dah lupa. Skit2 2 bolela ingt. Hehe.

4th: POSTERS ! Semestinya posters adalah satu bnda yg wajib ad bg sesiapa yg obsessed into sth. Jantan2 maskulin yg minat bola of kos dorg akan ader poster bola Rooney, Kaka, Ronaldo terpampang besar2 kat bilik dorg while for gals yg gile Korea tu kompem ader a bunch of KPop artists punya posters like Super Junior, 2PM n etc. For me, Harry Potter posters are symbol of devotion of me to Harry Potter. Haha. Giant poster Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets kat ats ni aku dpt from Safwa time form 2. Time tu aku duk berebut dgn Ainu last2 aku dpt gak. Haha. Thanz a lot Safwa !

5th: Telah menonton ke semua Harry Potter movies n ader koleksi ORIGINAL Harry Potter VCDs or DVDs. Act aku ader wat collection stat from Sorcerer's Stone smpila ke Order of Phoenix ni. Tapi sayangnya yg laen2 tu dah ilang time proses pindah barang time aku duk renovate umah aku. Sgt frust aku ! So patu aku dah tak smgt dah nk kumpul for movies yg strusnya. Nk beli takder duet lak. Tapi takpela aku pon skang dah ader collection dlm Hard Disk aku muvie no 1 smpi la 6. Jimat sket duet. Hehe

6th: Beli poster books tiap kali movie Harry Potter kuar. Tapi ni dlu je r time skola dlu pasal naive klu ader duet je beli barang2 Harry Potter. Tp skang tak. Ader je duet TOPMAN didahulukan dlu. Hahaha

7th: Collectible magazines yg pape je cover dpn dier pasal Harry Potter. Dlu mmg aku giler kumpul magazines yg ader cover dpn Harry Potter semata2 nk dpt poster dier. Atas ni mags dat covered for Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban.

Both magazines are FIRST magazines and belah kiri featured Goblet of Fire while sblh kanan Order of Phoenix.

8th: Possessed any other Harry Potter merchandise. Yg ats skali sblh kiri tu sisipan time aku beli Gempak dlu2 time kecik2. Sebelah dier bookmarks Chamber of Secrets aku beli kat Times Bookstore. Sblh kanan dier lak poskad aku dpt free courtesy of FIRST magazine. Bawah sblh kiri Harry Potter postcards beli kat Kino sama gak dgn sblh kanan dier wich is 2004 punya calendar. Yg kanan skali tu lak just notepad ader gmba Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Aku ader gak penah beli action-figure Harry nek broomsticks tapi hilang gak time pindah rumah dlu. Huuu

Last but not least: Pegi Harry Potter punya movie sets ! Haha. I am so lucky pasal last year aku berpeluang g UK n visited Oxford whereby the birthplace of Harry Potter movies. Kat Oxford ni banyak movie sets for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Yg atas ni gmba dgn Safwa kat dpn Boldelain Library. Library nila dlm citer 1st Harry g Hogwarts punya library kat Restricted area semata2 nk cari buku yg ader kaitan dgn Nicholas Flamel yg wat Sorcerer's Stone tu. Kat dlm lib ni takle tgkp gmba so just tgkp gmba kat luar je.
